It is 2019 so most of the projects exercise the agile approach. This means frequent changes, if not done right, it can bring trouble. To address this challenge Fiori Tracker offers the functionality of Sign-offs.

With this function, even last minute changes are welcomed but with the proper sign-offs from functional consultants. Consultants can be responsible for checking if the new application is working as expected. We don’t want to end up with a new application that is run for the first time in the production environment.

For each Fiori application and business catalog in the details view there is a tab called “Sign-offs”. Based on the configuration there is a set of sign-off types that application or catalog need to have completed:

Default responsible assignment is made based on the functional area. For each functional area, for example, P2P, O2C, O2D there is a dedicated user assigned – functional lead. Each Fiori application and the business catalog is assigned to one of the areas. Based on area assignment responsible stream is determined and made as a default signer.

For each type of sign-off type, the date and time of the signature placement are recorded. Sign-off types can be tailored based on configuration.
